PRP injections are an autologous regenerative therapy involving the injection of a concentrated fraction of the patient’s own blood into specific areas of the body to provide platelets and bioactive growth factors for the tissues. A small blood sample is drawn, spun down, and concentrated to isolate and concentrate the platelet-rich blood, and then injected into the treatment area.
